Title : In the short grass

Caption of Photo : Short seedling yet stands tall among the destruction, symbolizing hope within the heart of the swamp.

Description of Photo :
The National Coastal Erosion Study Malaysia, 2015 reported that 15% of an 8840 km shoreline is eroding, where one-third falls under the critical and significant categories that require structural protection¹. (Coastal Structures as Beach Erosion Control and Sea Level Rise Adaptation in Malaysia: A Review, 2021). Thus, to prevent this issue from worsening, we can build breakwaters, which is an Offshore barrier that absorbs and reflects wave energy, reducing the force on the shoreline² (Ocean Geosynthetics, 2023).

Explain how your creative work related to the topic and the chosen Sustainability Development Goal(s). :
It has something to do with SDG No. 15, Life on Land. Of course, the grass is a living being that resides on land, and my creative work emphasizes the loss of trees and greenery in general due to coastal erosion, which is related to the topic, loss of biodiversity. It is also related to SDG No. 13, climate action, because I have given a solution to combat the coastal erosion issue from worsening.
